Best Phone Holder For Running is very unique gift. I am a runner and often take pictures along my route, this armband is the best I have used so far. The screen is completely accessible and the phone can be removed from its base without removing all the straps – it’s faster and more convenient.
I have previously used similar armbands without a detachable base, this is a great update. There are currently not many armbands with all these features I love and the technology is not perfect.
The first 2 I owned are from a different manufacturer with a magnetic mechanism, allowing the phone to rotate out of its base with pressure – that works until it doesn’t. At some point, it all comes apart and sends the phone flying.
After having 2 armbands with the same problem, I lost my trust in the system and wanted one with different technology, I decided on this one. It is not quite as easy to use as the pressure operated ones, but safer. The phone needs to be rotated sideways and is released by a push button, that takes some practice with one hand, but gets easier after some trials.
I don’t have the armband for too long and can’t say much about durability at this point, but so far it is my favorite. If it holds up, I’d buy it again. About face recognition – it works, as long as you don’t place the straps over the front camera. The band itself is comfortable and highly adjustable and it fits.
If an armband with a detachable base is important to you, I’d choose this one over the ones that rotate out of their base, especially if you have a bigger phone. So far I love this one – all the features I want and no mechanical failure.
