Viking Axe For Wood Chopping is very nice product. I was looking for a pleasant, small, light duty hatchet to help fill the gap between my knife and my axe. This little guy is perfect for the job and looks good doing it. The steel looks great with no discernible flaws, well shaped and feels sturdy. The etching is good and shows the pattern very well.
The handle feels good in the hand, has a good finish and fits the head well. Took a few whacks at some branches and everything held together. Came sharp enough to do some work on small stuff, but ill be breaking out my stones to get it where I want it.
The sheath it comes with is very loose and part of the blade hangs out (the belt loop is set to have the axe hang handle up) and could cut the user if you’re not careful. Leather seems decent however, the stitching is good, after a little ‘fixing’ the sheath should hold up nicely.
