Purchasing Uber Gift Card Email Delivery on Amazon or other sites has really made gifting quick and easy. Choose the store, choose an amount, add the recipients email address, and checkout your cart. Typically, within 5 minutes, there is an email delivered to the sender and receiver announcing the delivery of the virtual card.
This time, my gift was an Uber gift card. The receiver has to activate the card by clicking a button in the email to verify everything (which helps prevent hacking situations) and then the dollar amount is sent to their Uber App account. The one thing that was a bit annoying was that for about 15 minutes he was unable to click on the button (for reasons unknown) that renders the card unusable until you can. After reading some reviews and Googling a few questions, we found out that this is common with certain gift card companies and there really isn’t anything you can do but keep trying.
This is my 3rd card that I’ve purchased on Amazon; 2 with Uber and 1 with a clothing store. I experienced no hold-ups with the first Uber card or the clothing store card. It was only the 2nd Uber card that was delayed. Not the end of the world, however, it was a little time consuming. I think the convenience and ease both outweigh the delay.
