Staedtler Pencil Sharpener is a great pencil sharpener; excellent quality, perfect size and does a great job at sharpening quickly and without leaving the wood rough.
The helical blade is strong and should last years to come. It’s not loud by any means, either!
Not only did this sharpener come with a cord to power it, but also the actual outlet plug, which most items like this never come with
. It can be powered with a cord OR battery, four AA batteries, actually, which aren’t included.
I’ve used it both ways, and both were equally powered, with no loss of power when using batteries.
I use this in my home, but I sometimes bring it to my Sunday school room, which I’ll sharpen around 20 pencils at a time.
The compartment size is perfect and I don’t have to empty it every five or 10 pencils; I can easily do 20, plus more, before having to empty.
The size of the sharpener is perfect, as well; about the same size as one of the smaller bottles of Gatorade, or a bit smaller than a can of soda. Mine sits out on a kitchen counter, where it doesn’t get in the way because if its not-too-big size.
This is an all-around excellent pencil sharpener and great quality for the price. It can take on around 30 pencils before having to empty, and it sharpens that amount very quickly. A great buy and highly recommend.
