Sas Tactical Survival Bow is very nice product. Shoots accurate, built like a tank! I am a regular recurve and longbow archer. I bought this to keep in my truck or pack wo fear of limbs being damaged in the hot car. This “thing”, “beast” aka Timex of the bow world is almost indestructible. But it shoots almost….almost ( serious competition bow it is not, serious rugged hunting bow it is) as well as my target competition bows.
Unlike my other bows this one is always handy in my car for wherever I am to pull it out of its case, set it up, string it n shoot in less than 2 minutes flat. This thing is so dang strong, if after knocking down game w your last arrow you find you didn’t get a clean kill…..use the SAS as a club to humanely put the deer/hog/bear out of its misery. Love this bow. Well thought out. I also have a Spectre Nomad, and though I like it, the Nomad’s durability does not compare at all to the SAS! I’m not sure the Nomad could be stored safely in a car in California’s 105 degree summer days wo warping.
The SAS could easily withstand any earthly temperatures, as it is all metals. With all due respect, to some other reviewers, it is very hard to buy a quality bow for under $150, and bows never come w arrows, so not sure why some complain about its price or lack of arrows. Only kids bows come w arrows often w the suction cup Broadheads.
I never see adult bows come w arrows unless it is a cheap piece of garbage or a novice bow. For the materials this manufacturer uses, it is a great value. It is not at all pretty, but beyond efficient at the purpose it was built for, ie compact indestructible always ready bow.
