Remote Control Shark Toy is very nice product. I imagine the designers had a tough time coming up with a recommended age for this toy. My kids only are allowed to use it in the bathtub, but they love it anyway. Obviously, a younger child should not be allowed to use this unsupervised near a pool or open water.
Also, the battery compartments require jeweler’s screwdrivers and a delicate touch. And the remote is not waterproof. All of these would lead to making this appropriate for older kids.
But oh, how my son loves it. He squeals with delight as he tries to capsize a hapless Lego pirate in a rowboat, and takes care to dry the shark off after use.
If you have a young child who loves sea creatures, and you’re willing to closely supervise him/her, then this is perfect.
