My pup is really comfortable with me Professional Dog Nail Clippers, that being said, he has clear nails so it is easy for me to see his veins so i know where to stop. These clippers have a guard on them which only lets you cut a bit at a time – you can remove this guard if you know what you are doing and cut as long a chunk as you’d like. For me, dealing with a clear nail, i was able to remove the guard to its side so i could cut quicker and more efficiently and so my pup would get irritated with the whole situation. Other reviewers on here gave negative reviews because they didnt know what they were doing! Simply stated, if your dog doesnt have clear nails and its hard to see the blood veins, then start off by clipping really really small lengths at a time. You can ask any vet that. The clipper itself is made very very durable and the metal is strong and sturdy.
Dont give bad ratings to a product because you dont know how to use it! It worked perfect for us!
