Those may be older frames, but the instructions included are for plexiglass (see the photo of the instructions).
My frames came with glass. From the description, it says “The 8×10 black picture frames made of durable and high-quality synthetic wood material that built for long-lasting.
The glass front is clear and lightweight, protecting your photos from dust, moisture, and scratches.”
There is no such thing as synthetic wood. The frames seem to be a high-density polycarbonate material with some texture.
They seem to be very sturdy and the black is neutral enough to go with anything.
The fame backer is probably its weakest attribute. I still gave it five stars as the value makes the frames a great gift.
