Perpetual Motion Desk Toys is very nice product. I’ve owned perpetual motion devices previously and they were built almost exclusively out of plastic. As a result, they didn’t last long and wore out fairly quickly. For that reason, I was a little skeptical about this item when I first purchased it. To my surprise, the device is pretty well built. The base is plastic, but the device itself, and the top portion of the holder are all metal. That makes me more confident about it’s durability.
The only knock I have is that it only runs on a single 9v battery. That has resulted in my having to replace it on a 3 week to monthly basis. Outside of that, I am quite happy with this product.
