After reading another review of Neoprene Dumbbells Set With Stand questioning the accuracy of the weights I decided to weigh these when they arrived. The 3’s were both exactly 3.2. The 5’s were exactly 5.2. The 8’s were exactly 8. I don’t mind the two were a tiny bit over, I am just happy to see they are exactly the same weight distribution on each side.
They are easy to hold, the coating makes them easy to move around without making a ton of noise. As others said the holder is a bit flimsy but does the job.
The base for the weights was pretty easy to assemble, required a Phillips screwdriver so make sure you have one on hand. This may be obvious but it took me a few tries so here’s my tip to putting it together. Lie one piece flat on the ground. Then insert the round pieces and place the other piece on top while it is lying flat so the pieces don’t fall out while putting the screws in. When using the screwdriver keep one hand on the base so the pieces don’t fall out, otherwise you have to start over. After I figured that out it was very easy.
