Bought Minecraft Torch Light In Hand for an 8 year old boy for Christmas. He loves Minecraft, so this was right up his alley. My only regret is that I didn’t buy one for his sister too! It lights up really nicely, and he loves it so much that he keeps it in bed with him.
To create the pixelated look for the light itself, it does have pieces of transparent orange plastic that jut out from the top. This isn’t problem for him, he takes good care of it, but I wouldn’t trust a younger child with it. If it gets banged off of anything, I expect these fragile-looking pieces of plastic would probably break pretty easily.
