Emergency Kits For Home is very nice product. I’ve lived in the Northwest for the better part of the last couple of decades, and winter driving was always something that I was cautious about. When my family lived in a small rural town and we made trips to “the big city”, we’d pack some extra items just in case, which is great to try to plan ahead.
The problem was we always planned on the best case scenario of somebody showing up not too long afterward instead of the worst case scenario which could mean one or two days of waiting. Not long after the winter weather began setting in for this year, I could not avoid the posts from friends and family on facebook about cars getting stuck on the roadside due to hazardous conditions and that got me thinking about what I would need if that happened to me.
It didn’t take long for me to find the EVERLIT kit. It’s got quite a few of the essentials that you might need if you ever find yourself in a situation where you will definitely be waiting for a considerable amount of time. An emergency blanket for warmth, a flashlight, a compass on a paracord bracelet, a flint for starting a fire, knife, and first aid essentials like bandages, antiseptic wipes, and more.
The pack is certainly versatile; you can store it in your vehicle, or attach it to a backpack or other worn equipment, doubly so if you own or are familiar with MOLLE/MOLLE II equipment. I can say that it is worth the investment if you are looking for something to help you in a situation where help may not be available for quite some time.
