I just bought this new Chrome box 4 Cheap Gaming PC Under $300 to replace my old Chrome box that I bought back in Nov. 2016.
The old one was working OK, but since I couldn’t update it any longer, there were a few websites and features that weren’t working correctly any longer.
There does not seem to be a huge upgrade in performance/speed. I am somewhat disappointed in the Google Play Store experience. It seems that none of the apps that I use there are compatible with this Chromebox. Not the end of the world, but that was one of the reasons I wanted to upgrade from my older Chromebox.
I mainly surf, email, stream music and some videos and these Chrome boxes fit that need perfectly for a fraction of what most people pay for a desktop. I remain a happy Chrome/Chromebook/Chrome box user.
Love the Chrome box. It just works with no issues. All I do is basic internet use, so I can only speak from that angle. I do like that no matter how many boxes I use, in different locations, any change affects all of them, like it’s the same box, cos it’s the same google account. For print, I am using a cloud printer. I’ve never had a problem with viruses, or anything.
