Best Transfer Tape For Vinyl
YRYM HT Clear Vinyl Transfer Paper Tape Roll-12 x 50 FT w/Alignment Grid Application Tape for Cricut & Silhouette Cameo, Adhesive Vinyl for Decals,Signs, Windows, Stickers
Best Transfer Tape For Vinyl is very good for decals. Its cuts easy, not too thick, and sticks really well.
Its a molecule thicker than they craft vinyl you’ll find at places like Hobby Lobby, but I think that is more of an advantage. It last longer than most craft vinyls that we have used before. It doesn’t fade as quickly either.
Have not had an issue with it coming off due to exposer to the sun/heat/humidity. No shrinking due to windows heating up. Dark tinted car windows, especially those with the ceramic base tint, tend to get very hot when the vehicle sat in the sun all day. Due to this some vinyls will shrink/contract. Same as if you were to apply a heat gun to them. However the YRYM vinyl doesn’t seem to have that issue. I personally have a truck with pitch black tinted windows, darker than a limo, that uses the ceramic tint. And I’ve never had the decals cut out of YRYM vinyl shrink/deform due to heat.
On of the review questions is “Easy to remove.” This is kinda subjective to ask, as this is “permanent” vinyl, so its not suppose to be easy to remove. If you want easy to remove vinyl, you need to purchase ‘removable.’ However, I marked the answer with 3 stars; Why? While the product is not in fact “permanent” it is removable if the user would like to remove it. And it doesn’t leave behind a ton of residue during the removal process. Now this might be different if the decal is on there for like 3+ years. I can not contest to this, as we have not left the decal on there for that long.
If you are using a Silhouette Cameo w/ the Auto-Blade, I would suggest setting the blade depth to 3. Or play around with the force, by increasing it. This will help with weeding out the cuts that you don’t need.Promised Review by Marhsall
