Best Cat Litter Box is very nice product. My cats have been using a plain open litter pan since I got both of them, which created a big problem. Litter everywhere (female is a kicker/excessive digger), unsightly, no privacy (female is a bit of a bully lately), etc. Also, my cats are huge. My male is approximately 10lbs where as my female is close to 15lbs and still growing (Maine Coon mix), so finding a large enough litter box is hard.
Anyway, I made the decision to buy a covered box to stop the litter being kicked EVERYWHERE and also to give my male more privacy from his pushy little sister. I settled on this box because of the size and the lid snaps on and off (totally awesome), plus rhe reviews were great. It arrived fairly quick and packaged well. I was worried, because I’m in Alaska, but it had no damage whatsoever. To my surprize, it comes with an odor neutralizing vent and pad of some sort and even a very helpful handle on top! My favorite part though is the lid, as it flips up and open halfway to allow easy access to scoop.
This also helped transition my cats from an open box to a closed one. I flipped the lid open, put them each in the box a couple of times to let them know what it was, and then I waited. Once thethey had both used it (took a couple days), I snapped the lid shut and that was it. They both prefer it so much that I just bought another one today to replace our downstairs box as well. (This is more their size too.) When it’s time to dump the box, you just unsap the lid completely, then dump.
