Antique Kitchen Tools is a very nice product. I am a Professional Home and Personal Chef, and I also teach cooking and knife skills. I take all of my kitchen items, tools, utensils, knives, serving items, other accessories, and food products very seriously. When I test and review culinary items, I am highly critical and meticulous in evaluating and rating them. My reviews are honest and unbiased. Good is good…bad is bad!
This metal utensil crock is large and robust in build. It has a hand-hammered appearance and shines of bright metal. Capable of holding a LOT of kitchen utensils like stirring and serving spoons, whisks, etc.., it definitely serves a purpose in space control in the kitchen.
That being said, aesthetically this will not be for every kitchen. In some it will really enhance the ambiance, but in others, it may look totally out of place in communion with other racks, bins and other items in a kitchen. It IS well-made and highly robust in construction, with one caveat for those who may have a misconception of its construction material. The product page headline ends with “Large, Nickel”… However, the actual description of the crock states, “Handcrafted from heavy gauge steel and coated with zinc for a long-lasting luxurious finish.” It is NOT nickel, if that is important to you.
